Neurotechnology executive and IP monetization veteran to lead acquisitions across medical device, diagnostic imaging, robotics, neuromodulation, biosensor and biologic manufacturing sectors

MIAMI and PARIS, May 26, 2026 — Sauvegarder Investment Management ("SIM IP"), a global intellectual capital firm that deploys its own capital to acquire, structure, and monetize IP assets, today announced that Will Rosellini has joined the firm as Managing Director. Rosellini is a neurotechnology founder and AI commercialization executive with 20 years of experience in invention, IP, and capital formation. He holds more than a dozen U.S. patents in wireless neuromodulation and paired plasticity systems for stroke recovery and neurological conditions.

Rosellini will lead SIM IP's expansion into medical device, diagnostic imaging, robotics, neuromodulation, biosensor, and biologic manufacturing IP — sectors where foundational patents held by inventors, startups, and research institutions remain unlicensed despite billions in related product revenue. SIM IP structures each engagement to the patent owner's goals through acquisition, revenue-sharing arrangements, or funded enforcement.

"Will is the rarest kind of hire — someone who has built the technologies, prosecuted the patents, raised the capital, taken companies public, made it through the FDA gauntlet and managed infringement suits," said Erich Spangenberg, CEO and Co-Founder of SIM IP. "Fewer than a dozen executives globally have navigated an AI medical device through FDA's Class III PMA pathway. He knows exactly which claim elements map to which regulatory disclosures, and which commercial implementations are most exposed."

"Every vertical I'm targeting shares the same profile: strong hardware claims, companies with confirmed product revenue, and foundational IP families that were never commercially licensed," Rosellini said. "The current environment has created a class of motivated sellers — inventors, early-stage companies, SBIR awardees, and research institutions — holding issued patents with genuine commercial relevance at acquisition prices unavailable 24 months ago."

Rosellini's network spans university technology transfer offices, federal research program managers, device company executives, and patent monetization specialists — extending SIM IP's reach into medical device, defense, and academic technology transfer for the first time.
